Bangalore Institute of Technology is located in the heart of Bangalore, the “Electronic City” and “Silicon Valley” of India. The institution came into being in August, 1979 under the auspices of Vokkaligara Sangha, Bangalore. The institute initially offered the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics & Communication. Bangalore Institute of Technology was the first institute to introduce a full-fledged Computer Science & Engineering degree in Karnataka. At present B.I.T offers 10 undergraduate, 3 post graduate and a PhD course(s) with a student body of more than 2500.
